This one drawing depresses me, cause i had it completely painted. i did a lot of things with it that turned out really cool. they were in a dark forest with dappled lighting from the trees. i was pretty happy with it, then the file corrupted. gone forever and i didn't save a single iteration (which im usually pretty good about). oh well, rest in piece elf painting.

another bootleggers image. did this one in the morning while lauren was at the gym. thats turning out to be a real blessing as far as motivation to do some painting. that may end up being the thing that gets my ass in gear with my bootleggers project.... time will tell i guess.

painting done at lunch, could probably use a little more love, the foreground came out horrendously flat, and i mucked with the grass too much and turned it to mud. but oh well.

Bootleggers Post

So here are a few images from a highly coveted story Ive been working on in my spare time. This is something I intend to at some point go to print with as a graphic novel. its going to take me forever and i think Ive been waiting to post anything about it until i'd managed to free up the spare time to work on it consistently. but to hell with all that. I do plan to start a separate blog dedicated entirely to this story soon, but for now here are some old images.

did this a little while ago, but just getting to scanning it now. its marker on glossy xerox paper, so it gives this weird layering effect when the marker pools together.

i did this little doodle today at lunch (lauren took the car with all my art supplies, so i found a ballpoint pen and stole some paper from the xerox). i splashed some color on it tonight, thought i would go in a less princessy and more gothy direction with it.
